Mr. Hughes has dedicated more than 20 years to serving students in Special Education. Last year, he brought that experience and passion for students to the CTAE Department, transitioning into the Construction program.
Since making the move, Mr. Hughes has done an outstanding job growing the Construction program and building meaningful, lasting relationships with his students. He serves as a positive role model and works tirelessly each day to ensure his students develop the technical skills, work ethic, and confidence they need to be successful beyond high school.
His impact extends well beyond the classroom. Through his leadership and commitment to student involvement, Mr. Hughes has helped grow our SkillsUSA chapter into one of our largest Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs). His dedication to his students and the Construction program continues to make a tremendous impact at Colquitt County High School.
